Privacy Policy — Dead or Alive?

Last updated: 12 June 2026

“Dead or Alive?” (“the app”) is provided by Alex Dinnin. This policy explains what data is handled when you use the app.

Information the app itself collects

The app has no accounts and no backend. It does not ask for your name, email, location, or contacts. The names you search are sent to Wikipedia/Wikidata to fetch public information; your recent searches are stored only on your device and can be cleared at any time with the “Clear” button.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app displays banner ads through Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google’s SDK may collect and process:

If you do not grant tracking permission (via the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt), Google serves non-personalized ads. Users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland are also shown a consent message before ads are served.

Google’s handling of this data is governed by Google’s own policies:

Purchases

If you buy Remove Ads, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple via the App Store. The app receives only a confirmation that you are entitled to the purchase; it never sees your payment details.

Children

The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
